Hello everybody,
This crew blog is to notify every one of you on a couple of things. Let me start from the thing that pops up in my head first and work my way around every point of discussion that way on.
1) Yes, I´m still in charge around here (might´ve looked otherwise) and yes, I am still an active lurker. Also, yes, I have that feeling too: the Woopyland atmosphere is rather nasty these last couple of days. As I´m the King, I feel (or should anyway) responsible and am therefore taking some actions, as written in the next bullet-points.
2) Cedolad left the crew. Not because we forced him to, but because he felt like he wasn´t able to serve Woopyland as moderator any more due to his busy personal life. We shall all miss him yada yada yada (that´s how much we shall). Good luck with the rest of your life.
3) I didn´t want to tell you guys this just yet, but I guess since I´m sensing a bad forum environment and because Cedolad officially left, this is now the right time to inform you guys about our new crew member: FUGE. For awhile he was already an undercover moderator, mostly hired to delete old and useless topics all around the forum (of which it looks like he did a good job), but is now an announced moderator who is allowed to delete posts, close topics and sticky/unsticky them. Congratulate him if you please, I´m looking forward to working with him. Where is he currently though?
4) Although we have a new (hopefully active) moderator now, this doesn´t mean Woopyland members will be hearing from us around the forum more than before now. Instead, you will start hearing less from all members on the forum, simply because we´re going to handle things differently during moderation. Now this is how I´ve been moderating for quite some time now: instead of posting what is going wrong in topics, I just delete the posts that were wrong in the first place. It´s simple: instead of posting "BOT" or "that wasn´t nice... you´ll get a warning if you continue doing this", I just don´t post, delete the posts that were off-topic or PM the bloke who I want to warn. I´m telling this in a crew blog to announce this to everyone and to inform them about our new policy so it doesn´t look like we´re doing nothing and/or are deleting posts at random. I (hereby) ask the moderators to handle like this, too.
5) Look, we have this "flag topic" feature now, start using it! Members posting in topics with the announcement that the topic they post in is spam, a violation, old or in the wrong location, will now get warned (via PM) if not banned instead of the one who posted the topic. Since the feature, it is now simply annoying and useless to act like a moderator in the topic itself. For that reason, posts in which members are acting like moderators is now considered post-upping and will deserve a penalty depending on the conditions.
6) A new warning system will be implemented soon, more on that later. Also a new administration panel will be included for the controlling of forums. As soon as that forum is there, a new forum will be created, stay tuned! Hints go out to every developer around to create these things.
7) If a topic is getting out of the hand and people start flaming/discussing, report the topic or posts that do so, even if the violators include role models!! If I or any other moderator notices one of these topics or posts, we will delete them. I will not have a Woopyland where every topic ends in a bloody annoying discussion to read as a lurker. The subject of the discussion does not matter, any topic ending in a (what looks like an unfriendly) discussion will get deleted. Violators will get shot, survivors will get shot again. Have your discussions via MSN, preferably when I'm not around!

I hope you´re all still enjoying Woopyland. If you have any (rather personal) complaints about your experiences with other Woopyland members, please inform me via a pm. Anyone interested in and able handling these complaints in confidence, inform me.
Cheers,
Whoolie
